Our History — 60+ Years of Community & Golf

Since the 1960s, Caroline Country Club has been a hub of activity and connection for Caroline County residents. The course was designed to integrate with the area’s natural farmland and waterways, offering a unique golfing experience that reflected the region’s character. After closing in 2015, the property underwent a comprehensive restoration, reopening in 2025 to once again serve its community.

Designed by renowned architect Edmund B. Ault, the course features rolling hills and water hazards created by Long Branch stream. Ault’s signature style can be seen throughout the layout, emphasizing strategic play while showcasing the natural beauty of Maryland’s Eastern Shore.

Caroline Country Club draws golfers from surrounding counties — Queen Anne’s, Talbot, Kent, Dorchester, Wicomico, and Sussex — as well as visitors from the Baltimore, Annapolis, and D.C. areas. Our location offers an affordable, scenic alternative to busier urban courses.

Caroline Golf is an 18-hole, Par 72 course featuring Bermuda Grass fairways and Bent Grass greens. The layout offers a blend of wooded and open holes, complemented by a variety of water hazards, providing an enjoyable yet challenging test for every golfer.
